I'm Caitlyn, the traveling muralist.

If you're wondering how I ended up painting giant walls for a living, you're not alone! Believe it or not, I started in construction and residential painting. Not exactly the path you'd expect to lead to murals, but here we are. When I wasn't on a job site, I was chasing my other obsession: travel. I've traveled through Australia, Africa, Indonesia, Italy, France, and a few other places that filled my camera roll. Seeing art, architecture, and cultures around the world completely changed the way I look at life.

Painting started as a college hobby, something I did because I loved it. Friends and family kept telling me, "You should do this for a living," and I laughed, until they turned out to be right. It's proof that sometimes the best career plans are the ones you never planned at all.

How do I get started with a custom mural?

Getting started with us is easy! Simply fill out our contact form with details about your mural project, including the location, approximate wall size, timeline, budget, and any inspiration or ideas you have. We'll schedule a consultation to discuss your vision, provide a custom quote, and guide you through our mural design and installation process from concept to completion. 

Do you travel for mural projects?

Yes! We travel for mural projects throughout Michigan and across the United States. For projects outside our local service area, travel expenses such as mileage, airfare, lodging, and other necessary accommodations may be included in the project estimate.

How much does a custom mural cost?

Every mural is custom, so pricing varies based on the size of the wall, design complexity, location, wall texture, and whether specialty equipment or travel is required. Factors like brick or stucco surfaces, high or hard-to-reach walls, and intricate artwork can all affect the final investment. Once we learn more about your project, we'll provide a custom quote tailored to your space and vision.

How long does the mural process take?

The mural design process is typically the longest phase of a custom mural project. We usually deliver the first round of mural concepts within 2–3 weeks. The overall design timeline depends on the number of revisions requested, with more revisions extending the process before the final mural design is approved. 

Once the design is finalized, mural installation typically takes 1 day to 1 week, depending on the mural's size, level of detail, and overall complexity.

How far out do you book?

We typically book custom mural projects 2–2.5 months in advance, though availability can vary. Occasionally, cancellations or schedule changes allow us to move projects up sooner. Because the mural design process often takes longer than expected, we recommend reserving your spot as early as possible. Booking in advance ensures plenty of time for design revisions, planning, and a smooth mural installation timeline.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes. We require a 50% deposit to reserve your mural project and begin the design process. The remaining balance is due upon completion of the mural. Requiring a deposit allows us to dedicate time to concept development, planning, scheduling, and materials while securing your place on our calendar.
